According to local radio, the club has paid a million euros to the company, in six payments of less than 200,000 euros, figures for which there is no need of permission of the junta, to create and manage social accounts to discredit and throw mud on some people, including Messi and his wife Antonela, Piqué, Xavi, Guardiola, the president of mediapro roures, and the former Catalan president Puigdemont.
F.C Barcelona defended itself yesterday with a statement in which it claimed to collaborate with I3 ventures but only to monitor the flow of messages over the club and adding that I3 ventures had no link with the social accounts mentioned by Ser.
Last night, however, the same radio published a dossier of 36 pages from which the management of the above accounts by I3 ventures is confirmed. Shortly after two of the company’s scandal-related sites were suddenly closed.
Waiting for a new answer from the club the controversy is mounting. Roures has publicly shown his discomfort with what has been revealed and concern about the misuse of club money, which remains the property of the members. There will be lawsuits, but more worrying for Bartomeu’s junta is the tension in the relationship within the locker room and especially with Captain Leo Messi, who has already publicly angered Eric Abidal, d.s. of the club for other matters. Leo has not yet commented but this scandal complicates even more relationships that are already tense inside the club.l
